2020 ALR Scholarship Winner
This year's Scholarship recipient is Christopher Bohannan. Christopher is a graduate of Waynesville High School. He is a 12 year veteran of the Boy Scouts of America, earning his Eagle Scout in 2016. He is a member of Chamber Choir, JROTC, NHS and volunteers at the St. James Veteran's Home. He will be attending Missouri S & T in the fall, with a major in Civil Engineering. This year's essay question was: What are the leading causes of motorcycle accidents involving teenagers? In Missouri, teenagers can obtain a motorcycle permit at 15.5 years of age. Do you think 15.5 years is mature enough to handle the responsibilities of riding a motor cycle? Do you feel the age of obtaining a permit should be raised? Why or why not?
