Back to School Supply Ride

IMG-4595.JPG

First order of business for this year is a school supply ride for our local schools. We support 3 high schools, a 6th grade center and a plethora of elementary schools in our area. A ride was put together to gather school supplies with great success. 6 bikes and 8 riders road over 50 miles and stopped for lunch at Rich's Famous Burgers in St. James, MO.

We will be collecting supplies until September 7, 2023. This is always a successful event and our schools are so very thankful!

THE WALL THAT HEALS

In the month of May the city of Waynesville had the honor of hosting a mobile wall dedicated to the men and women who were part of the Vietnam War. ALR was part of the escort of the wall into the city and some also were guardians of the wall during its 3 day stay.  Thank you to Air Topics, Jax Welborn, Gary Akins, Kim Lowe and Gloria McBeth for the photos on this page.

Memorial Day 2024

Memorial Day 2024 was indeed a day of remembrance. Members of the American Legion placed American flags on the veterans headstones in all the local cemeteries. There was a event at the AAMVC Veteran's Cemetery, attended by many and many of the ALR Riders. It was a beautiful day to honor those men and women who gave their lives so selflessly so that we may enjoy our Freedom.
