2018 American Legion Rider of the Year

The AL Rider of the Year is an award that the recipient receives upon the votes of his/her peers. It is a great honor to receive the award but an even greater honor being nominated by those who share the same values and commitment to the American Legion and the American Legion Riders. This year's recipient is Don "G-man" Gerspach. He has been a member of the Riders for 11 years. In that time he has held many officer positions including director of Chapter 331. He has also been the District 15 Commander of the American Legion Riders. Don is currenly the ALR State Assistant Director. Don is involved in many events put on by both the Legion and the Riders. He recently chaired a special "Welcome Home" event for Vietnam Veterans and their surviving spouses. It was a wonderful event with a packed house. Congratulations Don on a well deserved award.  Thank you for all you do for the Legion, Riders and our Veterans.

Don and State ALR Director, Jim Rosenberg.
Chapter 331 Director, Bob Norris, Don and  Shon Thompson, 1st District Director and Rider of the Year runner up.
